Karissa is a 2012 graduate from the Veterinary Technician Institute of Pittsburgh. As a member of our senior staff she has been instrumental in training new hires and implementing new safety protocols involving our restraint and handling procedures. Fear Free comes very naturally for her and even the most timid pets seem to warm up to her very quickly. Karissa has completed Companion Therapy Laser training, Low Stress Handing and Restraint, Fear Free Level 3 training, and Companion Animal Dentistry training through the Animal Dental Training Program out of Baltimore Maryland. She splits her time between working at the hospital and being a full time mommy of 2 boys and 1 girl.
