Dr. Clare decided to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian later in life, and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 while in her early 40’s. She moved to Pennsylvania in 2016 after meeting her husband, Tom, and also fell in love with the town of Hanover and a pre-civil war house in the Borough. Reluctant to leave her loyal following in Delaware, she commuted 2 hours one way for a few years. In 2020, Dr. Clare joined Dr. Cline at Hanover Veterinary Hospital to help rebuild that practice prior to sale in 2022. She started filling in here at Compassion Animal Hospital in October 2023, and is thrilled to be joining our team on Mondays and Fridays. When Dr. Clare is not working, she and her husband enjoy motorcycle rides, concerts, and just spending time together. They share their home with a rescued Chihuahua named Stella, and 4 cats- Adelaide, Midge (pictured), Maeve and Isaac.
